Kings Creek Station is a cattle station with genuine outback hospitality offering visitors an authentic glimpse of the lifestyle, history and landscape of outback Central Australia.
There is a range of accommodation to suit all styles of travel with facilities for camping, basic bush tent accommodation, and the unique luxurious Dreamtime Escarpment glamping.
Kings Creek Station was established in 1981 by Ian and Lyn Conway. This was originally vacant crown land with no infrastructure - no water, no electricity, no communications, no roads. Originally the vision was to run the Station as a cattle property however Ian and Lynne's natural flair for hospitality has since seen tourism develop as a major part of the station. Kings Creek Station still runs cattle and exports camels.

Kings Creek Station is located down the Luritja Road. You can travel via the Mereenie Loop Road, the Ernest Giles Road (both dirt and approximately 300kms from Alice Springs), or the Luritja Road via Lasseter Highway (sealed and 450kms from Alice Springs).
If travelling from Uluru or Erldunda on the Lasseter Highway the turn off is at the Luritja junction. Distance from Ayers Rock is 300kms.
Before travelling on the dirt roads it is highly recommended to check the conditions of the roads before your journey.

Bush Tents

Located against the backdrop of the George Gill Ranges, our unique air-conditioned Bush Tents offer comfortable and affordable accommodation.
Kings Creek Station Bush Tents are permanent canvas cabins constructed of steel frames, solid floors and lockable doors. Featuring air conditioning units, light and power, the cabins are twin share with all linen provided. There are shared toilet and shower facilities, kitchen, grassed picnic area and swimming pool.
The kitchen provides tea & coffee facilities, microwave, fridge and gas BBQ; perfect if you want to prepare your own meal! Alternatively order from our cafe menu, which caters for all budgets and tastes. BBQ packs are available at the shop along with bottled wine and beer.
Bush Tents are provided on a bed and breakfast basis. The Bushmans style breakfast consists of: bacon & eggs, toast and tea & coffee, and will be served at the Bough Shed. A breakfast voucher will be provided to guests upon check-in.
The tents sleep up to two adults with two single beds per cabin only.

These luxury secluded glamping tents are positioned along the escarpment and elevated to provide maximum airflow and views. The focus is on comfort with quality linens and decor, king-size or twin beds, a private bathroom with a difference, luxury amenities, bathrobe and slippers, power, heating, air-conditioning and coffee pod machine.
Lounge in the pool or on the deck with the vast desert as your back drop and keep an eye out for wildlife that may wander into view. Stargaze at the desert skies or toast marshmallows by your private fire.
The self-cook bush inspired BBQ dinner and breakfast hamper will be provided to create a memorable outback dining experience. Enjoy a selection of drinks provided to complement your meals.

These spacious and beautifully appointed tents allow you to really experience iconic Australian camping on a truly genuine, but premium level. It is the perfect base to relax and explore the nearby Watarrka National Park. From 1st December 2021 - 31 March 2023, pricing is: $400 per tent, per night OR $700 for a two night consecutive stay (price based on double occupancy - adults only). The price includes a unique glamping experience, a Bushman's buffet breakfast and dinner (one main meal per person; no drinks included) at the Kings Creek Station Cafe / Bough Shed, located 2kms from the Mort Conway Camp. Check-in from 2pm, and check-out by 10am.

It is the perfect base to relax and explore the nearby Watarrka National Park. The price includes a unique glamping experience, a Bushman's buffet breakfast and dinner (one main meal per person; no drinks included) at the Kings Creek Station Cafe / Bough Shed, located 2kms from the Mort Conway Camp. Check-in from 2pm, and check-out by 10am.

The Drovers Dream is a truly Australian outback accommodation experience, but with all the creature comforts built in. These tents come with beautifully appointed furnishings and luxurious internal ensuite. Each tent is designed for comfort with a plush queen bed, reverse cycle air-conditioning, a walk-in ensuite shower, custom deck with BBQ and your very own fire pit for those cooler evenings. $650, includes 1 night accommodation, 2 course self cook BBQ dinner, and a Bushman’s buffet breakfast at the Station Bough Shed. For a 2 night consecutive stay it is $1,150 per tent. Adults only (Over 18 years). Check-in from 2pm, and check-out by 10am.

Within a 48 hour period 50% will be charged for cancellations.
